Jess and I did a mini photoshoot. I am no photographer (as can be seen in the first picture--I couldn't edit out the flash), but here's what we came up with...

~Our little Da Vinci~

As the school year comes to an end, Jess' art school assigned to them a sketching project: to sketch and paint a member of your family with an object in their hand. Jess conveniently picked me (very convenient, huh?). So here is how it turned out. She is painting it in now, so I didn't get a finished picture....

She did FABULOUS! I just love my jaw! :-)

Lasagna and a party!

This past weekend, the family (except for me and Sam) went out to Khimki to visit our old neighbors. Meanwhile, Sam and I invited Marti and Andrei to come over...we made lasagna, watched 27 Dresses and then went to bed! Fun!

~Egor~

Tete Lena sent us pictures of "OUR" Egor. I have officially named him the cutest boy in the world (in my opinion, of course :-) Enjoy!

Look at that smile! Isn't it the cutest?

Oh, and we still haven't heard what all you blog readers think about me and Tete Lena. Do you think we look alike? *post a comment*

Happy Mothers Day~

Happy Mothers Day, Mom and Grandma! We love you!

Today in church I prayed for the mothers. Here is my prayer: Lord, thank you for Mothers. Thank you for putting them into our lives to raise us and to lead us towards you. Thank you for giving me a great Mom and friend. Bless all the moms today and fill them with your presence. Amen.

Old Pictures~

I was looking at some of our old pictures (2002-2004) and thought I would post some. I tried to get them in order, but I don't think it worked very well. Some of them were scanned, explaining blur and "tilts". :-) Enjoy! ~sash

Commenting 101~

A number of you blog readers have emailed me and asked how to comment. Here's how:

At the bottom RIGHT of each and every post, you will see a link saying _ comments. The _ will be a number (usually 0 cause we don't get much comments). Click on that. Then type in your comments, choose your ID (Google account, name, anonymous) and click "publish". Wallah! You have officially commented. I congratulate you! :-)

Now, lets see how many comments we can pull out of you! :-)

BUMP: Who knew...

It happened again. Except not in a train, but on the kitchen floor. They fought with each other over the DS and then came to me for help. I finally ended their misery and took it away... :-)

Who knew that a Strawberry Shortcake for Nintendo DS was interesting, complicating and overpowering? Well, Jess and Papa figured that out. They fought over and played the game on the ride back for over an hour. Whenever Jess couldn't "run away from the giant cheese slices" (which was quite often), she'd ask Pa to play for her. Then Pa would take over, and so on and so forth. Pa played by himself for about a half our....I guess the rated E for Everyone, really means, for Everyone!
